Cookie policy
Best Launch Directories · Last updated · Version 1.0 (an earlier version: read the current one)
This policy lists every cookie Best Launch Directories (bestlaunchdirectories.com) can set, what each one is for and how long it lasts. Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work or to do what you ask, so the law does not require your consent for them. Anything else waits for your yes.
1. The cookies we set
| Name | Type | What it does | When it is set | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sessionid | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and remembers a checkout or form you are in the middle of. | When you sign in, check out or send a form | 30 days |
csrftoken | Strictly necessary | Security: proves a form was sent from this site and not forged by another one. | When a page with a form is shown | 364 days |
_a4582fd | Strictly necessary | Anti-abuse: a random ID that stops one device voting many times. It holds nothing about you. | When you vote or follow a listing | 400 days |
elm_spectrum | Preference | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. Without it the site follows your device setting. | Only when you use the light/dark switch | 365 days |
lsrc_f, lsrc_l | Analytics | Remember how you first found this site and the last website or campaign link that brought you back, so we know which channels work. Never used for advertising. | On your first visit, and when you arrive from another website or a tagged link | 90 days |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Strictly necessary (Cloudflare) | Set by Cloudflare, our security and delivery provider, when it checks that a visitor is not a bot. | Only if Cloudflare runs a bot check | 30 minutes / up to 1 year |
_ga, _ga_<id> | Analytics | Google Analytics 4: counts visits and which pages help people. | On your first visit | Up to 2 years |
All our cookies are first-party (they belong to bestlaunchdirectories.com), are sent only over HTTPS and are never used for advertising.
2. Statistics and analytics
We count visits without cookies: our own statistics use a code that changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address, and they do not store anything in your browser. After you choose "No thanks" in the cookie question we stop sending even these statistics, and we never collect them when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Visitors in the European Economic Area are counted only after they say yes.
This site also uses Google Analytics 4, which sets the _ga cookies listed above only after you allow analytics. It runs in Google Consent Mode v2: analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation all start as "denied", and only analytics storage changes to "granted" if you say yes. Advertising features are never turned on.
3. Changing your choice
The cookie question appears until you answer it. To change your answer, delete this site's cookies in your browser settings (or just the cookie-choice cookie listed above) and reload the page: the question comes back. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; if you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and checkout will not work.
4. Other services
Payment pages from Stripe, PayPal or NOWPayments, the Cloudflare Turnstile human check, and embedded videos you choose to play may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control those cookies.
